RAF band visits Hollybrook Academy
On Thursday 5th February 2015, the Central Band of the RAF band came to Hollybrook Academy to perform a variety of compositions for staff and pupils.
The ensemble, conducted by the RAF conductor, consisted of about 35 RAF service people.
The orchestra played a number of popular the themes from ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’, ‘Family Guy’ and ‘Frozen’. They also played the song ‘Lean Forward, Lean Backward’ which had the audience fully engaged as they were asked to copy the actions of the conductor.
At one point, Ms McNally was invited to conduct the band whilst around a hundred and fifty people watched on.
