"After 4th year you become a Post 16 student. S5/6 students are treated more like adults which means you must set a good example to younger pupils.
Being in S5/6 helps you to think of the future. You start to think about college or work. It’s an exciting time because you are about to leave school. When you go to college you meet new friends. You also get the chance to meet new people on work experience.
Every 2 years, S5/6 pupils have a prom and a trip to Spain (alternate years). The prom night is brilliant and allows everyone the chance to celebrate the last few days of school. The trip to Spain gives us the chance to be independent. We get to experience a different country and different cultures.
Staying on at school gives you a better chance of getting a job or a college placement. S5/6 is a good laugh”.
