S3 Dragon's Den Competition
Mr Brown's and Mr Cannon's Business and IT pupils were recently given the challenge to create a Social Enterprise company. Pupils were expected to produce a plan for their product or service. In the plan they were expected to include details of:
- whom their product or service was to be marketed to;
- where and how it was going to be sold;
- its unique selling features;
- costing and possible profit margin.
They were then invited along to Glasgow City Chambers to present their idea to a panel of judges in a Dragon's Den set up. Along with the persuasiveness of their case they were judged on their ability to speak clearly, keep eye contact and their overall demeanour when presenting.
The Dragons liked their idea and presented them with a cheque for £50.
