World Book Day 2015
Pupils from Mrs Newell and Mrs Bonner's National 3 English class took part in World Book Day by reading stories to P1 and P2 children. The S5 pupils were invited across to Holycross Primary School to work with the infants. All the pupils involved had a great morning.
Lee in S5 said, "I was really nervous as I didn't know what to expect. But the children were really good."
Emma in S5 also said she'd felt nervous but that the experience had made her feel more confident.
The pupils have asked if they could do this on a regular basis, by volunteering to read stories to the infants at lunchtime.
Staff and pupils also dressed up as a character from their favourite book.
